Once again an early breakfast (after studying the rain forecast), together with a cyclist from Cologne, who also started on Sunday and is headed for Provence. However, he is only going as far as Montelimar and is traveling faster.

First a few kilometers along the Sauer until it flows into the Moselle at Wasserbillig, then 40 kilometers on the Luxembourg side upstream along the Moselle. The cycling path runs continuously right next to the heavily trafficked river road. Annoying, but it's still dry.

Behind Schengen, near Apach, the cycling route Voie bleue begins, which I will follow for the next few days until Lyon.

Right on time with the border crossing, the announced rain begins, which only stops when I arrive in Metz in front of the hotel, 65 km later. Therefore, at the end of the day, a big laundry is on the agenda, as I have time tomorrow morning to visit the city of Metz.
