Just before the Moselle

Considering the rain radar forecast, I set off early today. In the morning it was sunny, and by the time it rained after noon, I only had the last 15 km to go.

After breakfast, I continued along country roads upward to nearly 600 m in altitude, until I reached Üttfeld where I joined the bike path on the old railway line from Prüm to Luxembourg. From there, it was more than 10 km downhill on this path with the perfect gradient, without having to pedal or brake.

Along the way, there were also some segments that run along old railway tracks. Unfortunately, some of the old bridges are no longer passable, so you often have to go down and then back up. Thankfully, all the tunnels are accessible.

After the last stretch along the Sauer and the Luxembourg border, I arrived this evening in Langsur-Mesenich.
