After a year’s break, we are back on the road. This time again near, but no less beautiful. We managed to skip the hot weather ‘a bit’ and only ride in 30 degrees Celsius. We...

a day that began so unremarkably…
in the morning around seven o'clock, we got up and prepared our long-standing obligatory muesli with some milk.
at some point, we leisurely set off towards Evian or Thonon les Bains.
we drove until Yvoir. and y means “until” and voir “to see”. it's quite strange at first until you have seen Yvoir. it is beautiful.
in Yvoir, we wanted to enjoy a coffee and something sweet. in the little town, it was not possible, but just outside it was. we enjoyed a nice coffee and (I) a cheesecake and we had a strawberry cake and a red currant/caramel/pastry cream cake.
our timing couldn't have been better, and (thankfully) we managed to survive a rain shower in the warm.
well, happiness is fragile and hard to grasp.
a little later, we (thankfully) noticed that we were missing something.
so we drove back and found our luck.
now that we were whole again, we looked for a campsite and found one. but it no longer existed. the second one didn’t either, the third was full, and the fourth was ready to welcome us.
the original plan was to visit Evian les Bains for dinner. and that’s what we did. very nice and at only 10 km, it was also quickly reached.
on our return, we ended the evening with great music and “some” alcohol.
bonne nuit et tout à l'heure
