From Brisbane to Airlie Beach and practicing being flexible

yes yes when one goes on a journey... I arrived well in Brisbane, I just didn't expect that there was absolutely nothing to drink in my Airbnb and the tap water tasted so strong - how spoiled we Swiss are! - that in a pinch, as the saying goes, I had to resort to drinking green tea. Okay, that wasn't exactly a great start... especially not when my 3-day trip on a sailing ship to the Whitsunday Islands was canceled just before the trip began. Yes, one must be flexible... This morning at the airport heading to Airlie Beach, I quickly organized accommodation, instead of 3 nights on the ship I found a sailing ship that still had a spot available for one night and for this evening I booked a sunset tour - and I was lucky to end up on a small sailboat with 2 other Australians. Out in the bay, we saw the typical tourist boats with 50+ guests. So part of the stay is saved - it would really have been very annoying and a shame, as I wanted to dedicate these days in Australia to 'my' beautiful waters, shimmering in all possible shades of blue and turquoise. Now it starts tomorrow morning, I don’t even know what kind of ship it is - at that moment, it was just about grabbing whatever was still available.
