Porto Azzurro (Elba)

The journey from Piombino to Portoferraio on Elba was smooth. Getting a ticket was also not an issue; September is not very busy anymore. Nevertheless, the ferries from three companies still operate in a queue to the island and back. Our holiday cottage is located in the small village of Porto Azzurro. Here, one can understand almost every word spoken on the streets and in bars, as the majority of the visitors are Germans and Swiss. Some Italians hide in bars in the second and third rows, but they are not upset if you happen to spot them even there. The weather has turned, and it's raining quite a bit, but we don't mind since the pollen count is practically at zero. Let's see if this helps... exciting 🥺
