Hike to Monte Val di Capanne (Elba)

Since our arrival in Porto Azzurro, Monte Val di Capanne has been calling to us. At night, the summit cross is illuminated, shining like a star. After an initial attempt, as we didn't want to walk on the road and we couldn't find a marked hiking path from Porto Azzurro, we explored a possible ascent. The hike was easy and not difficult to follow. Later, it did become a bit steeper and somewhat slippery due to the many small pebbles, but it was no problem. Just below the summit, we had to turn back as it became slightly difficult with some climbing at the end. It was a fantastic day!
