Biarritz!

Today we took a trip to Biarritz - we are really excited about this place. Compared to the nearby Saint Jean de Luz, it feels more modern and elegant, and probably a bit more expensive too. The views of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean are breathtakingly beautiful. We are considering whether we might come back someday to spend perhaps a week here swimming, dining, and shopping. From Biarritz, one could take trips into the beautiful countryside towards the Pyrenees, and even visit the only 50 km distant San Sebastian, the Spanish version of Biarritz. In any case, we are glad that we undertook this trip to Biarritz today, alongside La Rochelle and San Sebastian, it is a highlight of our journey so far.
