Second day, met new people (02.08.2018)

Today, I'm back to sightseeing. :)

After breakfast around 9 am, I drove into the city and parked my car. Then I continued on foot.

First, I went to Stortorget, the main square. There, I visited both churches. Unfortunately, I couldn't take great photos from the outside as everything was set up for the Karlskrona Skärgårdsfest. So I continued strolling through the city and arrived at the Marine Museum. Admission was free, so I couldn't resist going in. It was much more pleasant inside than outside in the heat. The museum was very well made, even for children. I spent about 1 ½ hours there.

After I was back in the scorching heat, I bought myself a delicious ice cream and returned to the city center. There, I visited 1-2 stores and bought food for my dinner (noodles with guacamole). Then it was time to go back to the campsite. I wanted to rest and enjoy the sun by the water. I sat down by the water with my book and read for about an hour. Then I cooked my dinner. Just as I was about to eat, one of my neighbors came by and asked if I wanted to join them at the festival in the city tonight. I was a bit surprised at first, because I didn't think they were German as well. But since they seemed quite nice, I agreed. We arranged to meet at 8 pm, so I had time to eat and take a shower.

Michi, Marek, and I walked for about 30 minutes into the city and watched the sunset together. We had a good conversation and it was really fun with them. The two of them are students doing an Interrail trip through Sweden and Norway. The festival had a great atmosphere and live music. So I had a very nice evening and it was nice not to be alone. Before we arrived back at the campsite around midnight, they invited me for coffee tomorrow morning at breakfast.

I gladly accepted the invitation.

So, a beautiful second day on my road trip came to an end.
