This morning, on 14.09, we set off. We first headed towards Copenhagen, Denmark, where we made our first stop to have breakfast. We went to 'Bowl Market', where you can get smoothie bowls, etc. There, I had porridge with blueberry compote. Very delicious! I also had a coffee.
We then took a walk around Copenhagen and continued our journey towards Germany. This time, we drove through the mainland and not by ferry.
We made two more stops along the way and arrived in Hamburg in the early evening. Since Marie is from Hamburg, we were able to stay at the house where she grew up.
Over the next few days, Marie showed me around the area, including the heath and many more. One evening, we went out to celebrate in Hamburg with her old school friends. And one day, we did sightseeing in Hamburg, where we visited the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt, and much more.
On 20.09, we headed back to Düsseldorf. Since we left early in the morning, we didn't encounter any traffic jams and arrived in Düsseldorf around noon.
It was surreal to be back here after being away for so long. Of course, it was great to see my family and friends again, but I would have liked to stay in Sweden longer. I had a wonderful time and learned a lot of Swedish. In the time I was traveling alone, I learned a lot about myself and grew from the journey. It was simply a fantastic trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
