Day 3 Not everyone is at breakfast this morning 🍳 the ship rocked quite a bit during the night. ⛴️🌬️🌊 We woke up around 5am because we almost rolled out of bed. On the route through the fjords we came relatively close to the open Pacific and the waves got higher. Only about 3-4. Meter. But you notice it in the small ship. By 7 a.m. the spook was over again. Today we go to the Pia Glacier, which is named after a former Italian princess. We took the boats 150 meters to the edge of the glacier. After a short hike and some more glaciology, we got even closer to the edge. We kept hearing loud crashes, but we didn't see any major pieces break off from the front. The glacier stretches long into the land and was then in the back part. Here too the ice was impressively beautiful. In the early afternoon we secured a nice spot by the window. The last ones, because the Americans were already at the start. There are large, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows in the bar and the trip through Glacier Allee was planned for the early evening! While waiting in the afternoon we were able to see hunting seals, dolphins and the spouting of whales. The seals are just fun. They are so fast, they glide out of the sea every few meters and then continue diving. You can't take photos of it, at least not with the small camera. They are too fast for that. But it's wonderful to see the animals in nature. 🦭🦭 In the evening the glacier avenue in the Beagle Channel. As so often, we were blessed: half an hour before we reached the avenue, the rain stopped and the weather got better 💨💨☀️☀️ The crew had put in a lot of effort. There was music, drinks and appetizers to accompany some of the glaciers. You have to imagine it like a movie 🍿 you're sitting in an armchair, the glaciers pass in front of you, the wonderful nature. Of course you can go out and take photos. First comes the Romanche Glacier. Followed by Alemania (🎤🎼Rosamunde, give me your heart....beer, canapés with sausage and sauerkraut) 🍻🌭Then Francia (Edith Piaff and to the delight of travelers Je t'aime ❤️, champagne 🥂 and cheese platter 🧀).Followed by Italia (volare, cantare 🎤🎼, pizza 🍕 and wine 🍷).Finally, Holandia (Poffertje). And to top it all off: 2 sperm whales 🐳 with seals in their wake. The photos are bad, but you can see a point in the sea 😂😂 What a day 🥰🍀
