Trip to the glacier

What should we write? The pictures speak for themselves.

At 8 in the morning we took the ship on a trip to the Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier. A short hike to the glacier, lunch at the estancia and a whiskey on glacier ice rounded off the day. We returned to Puero Natales around 4 p.m. Enough time for coffee and cake and a short walk along the promenade.

The place has changed a lot since 2018. There are now a lot of hostels, cafes, restaurants and gas stations here. On every corner there is an agency luring customers on excursions. The quality of the offerings is significantly better than years ago.

We sat at our lunch table with a couple from Israel and Spain. The visitors come from all over the world.

But in the skate park the teenagers look like they do in Frankfurt, Leipzig, Neuenrade or New York. Fashion is global.

It's supposed to rain starting tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for a few hours of sunshine. Maybe the prediction is wrong 😀
