We drive, drive, drive... unfortunately not on the highway
One last wonderful dinner at Terra Luna Lodge overlooking the lake. Then it was time to say goodbye and the lake showed itself at its best once again. Blue sky, bright colors on...

.. from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas. Unfortunately, the visibility was not as clear as in 2018. We could only see a large glacier and a lake through the clouds. We don't want to withhold the pictures from you.
We have now arrived in Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine. Tomorrow we'll take the ship on a trip through the fjords and to the Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers.
Unfortunately, the weather isn't supposed to be that good in the next few days. But it is what it is. We will enjoy nature and send you some pictures 😀
We rented a cabin here again, about 1.5 years ago. That was a good thing, because prices here have exploded. We pay 110 euros/day for the new and well-furnished cabana. The Torres de Paine is probably completely overcrowded in the high season, as other travelers tell us. Hotel rooms (not luxury, normal rooms) cost up to 1000! Euro. Per night, not for a week. A campsite costs 200 euros, but 60 people share 4 campgrounds. Cozy 😳
The local business people secure their valuable asset: the parking spaces. Anyone who parks in front of a shop or supermarket will receive a note on their windshield. When you leave you have to show the receipt from the shop or supermarket. Once you've bought everything, everything's ok. Free travel, good journey. If you haven't bought anything or needed 3 hours to buy a pack of spaghetti, the friendly service person will be there with the device for your credit card. If you don't want to buy anything there, you have to park further out and not in the center. There are enough places there.
