Reindeer Norway Day 9

After a super calm night in Jotunheimen National Park, we drove only about 20 km from our parking spot to the Falkenfänger parking area (https://park4night.com/de/place/366657) for breakfast. During breakfast, a vehicle from the park's reindeer management stopped next to us, and the staff was on the lookout for reindeer. We asked them and indeed, we were able to observe a herd in the distance. The herd was moving exactly in the direction of our hike, so we quickly followed. We could see them in the distance until they disappeared from our view. Suddenly, Tina said, turn around, and lo and behold, there was a large herd about 150 m away from us, amazing, fascinating, wow. They showed no fear, and we were able to watch them for quite a while before continuing our hike.

After the hike, we continued along gravel and side roads towards Rondane National Park.

Currently, we are positioned between the Rondane and the Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, quite close to the road, but with a great view.
