To the southernmost point of our journey Greece Day 20
Really? Already Day 20? We slept in a bit longer today, packed up, and continued our wild ride along Greece's back roads. Our first destination was the Dimitrios wreck

To clarify: Port d'Alon is one of the most beautiful bays in southern France that we have ever found during our vacations with the kids. And today we found a bay like that in Greece.
But let's go step by step. We didn't want to have breakfast at the port today and quickly looked for an alternative, discovering the bay of Vlychada Beach on the map,
probably a hidden gem.
So we packed our things and drove on very narrow roads (as usual) and winding paths to the beach.
Wow, what a location, dreamy, quiet, and secluded. We unpacked our snorkel gear and jumped in the water. We had already wondered why the water was so cold and shimmering. Unlike in France, there were relatively few fish to be seen.
When we snorkeled back to the beach, the phenomenon of the shimmering water was explained. The entire southern half of the beach is fed directly above the sea line by a cold mountain stream or spring, and the temperature differences and mixing caused the shimmering.
We stayed at this wonderful place all day and only drove to our current location in Plaka late in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, overnight stays at Vlychada Beach were not allowed 😪 we would have loved to stay there.
