The third day in Seoul started off a bit less sunny than the previous one, but it was only slightly cloudy and dry – so perfect weather again for some outdoor activities. This time, the Seoul Tower was on the agenda.
The path to the tower was surprisingly quiet. It's hard to believe that you are in the middle of a city with around 9.6 million inhabitants. The approximately 700 steps are lined with trees and lead quietly up the mountain alongside a small stream.
Fun Fact: The steps had handwritten numbers marked on them, presumably indicating the number of steps. However, it seems the counters lost track, as the numbers 660, 650, and 670 appeared within just two or three steps – in exactly that order.
Once you reach the top, it gets a bit louder again due to the many visitors. However, looking down, you can again see how vast Seoul actually is. The city stretches in every direction – a sea of concrete and glass with occasional green patches in between.

The weather also treated us well from here on: The cloud cover broke, and we had predominantly blue skies.
