The first hike of 2026...

...has completely fallen into the water. Our now traditional May short vacation has been completely sacrificed to the Ice Saints. The planned hike from AustriaCamp Mondsee to Almkogel was abandoned after just about 2km due to rain. We are not fussy and have completed several tours even in downpours... but starting out in the rain when there is no pressing need to get from A to B and we could just stay at the campsite felt a bit too unappealing, especially considering that the temperature has not left the single digits.

So we briefly visited the church in St. Lorenz, played a bit with MiB's RC Crawler on the beach at the campsite, and then retreated to our camper next to the heating lamp... maybe it will be better tomorrow.
