Day 23 Halifax

Today was our last day.
We're still here tomorrow, but since our flight is in the afternoon, there probably won't be much more we can do.
Today was also rather quiet. We have a small lake right outside the door – so we went to the beach and actually lay in the sun with a book for three hours.
Then we went back towards the hotel, rested a bit on the colorful chairs.
To wrap things up, we felt like going to one of those typical shopping malls – so we set out and strolled around there for a bit until just now.
Now the day is over – and so is our journey, more or less.
Today we drove a bit through the city again, and I really liked the cityscape. On the island, the houses were often just set on the meadows – like they were about to be picked up again.
Here it's different: proper avenues with trees in the middle, landscaped tree pits – everything feels very lovingly and well-maintained. I really like that.
What also strikes me: there's hardly a house that looks like another. They are all wooden houses, yes, often in a similar construction style – but something is always different. Even if it’s just the color.
And here everything is beautifully nestled in greenery. It looks a bit European.
I simply like it very much.
I’ll check in again tomorrow. For today: good night and see you soon.
