I believe there isn't much to tell today - we are still on our way to Prince Edward Island. And yet: it was a day when we really allowed ourselves to just go with the flow.
The morning started with a breakfast in our hotel chain - unfortunately, this time it was even worse than last time. In Germany, one would probably shake their head in disbelief: everything packaged in plastic, just soft, flabby toast, no fresh fruit, no milk - just small packaged portions, packed eggs. There was hardly anything, if anything, that one would want to eat. Not to mention sustainability: the mountain of trash after breakfast - unbelievable. And for vegans, there was really nothing available. Except white bread. Well.
So we set off and chose the shorter route through the countryside - and that was a very good choice. It felt like a drive through the Black Forest: gentle hills, many fir trees, occasionally a lake, and rivers accompanying the road time and again. A calm, beautiful route - from coast to fir green and back to the coast.
By now, hotels are almost part of our everyday life - and each time we are curious about what awaits us. It's particularly nice when there is a coffee machine in the room (I collect the capsules from various systems - so far I have four varieties!). Even better: when there is real milk and no powder.
Mika is happy about an electric kettle - then he can enjoy his beloved Yum-Yum Asian noodles in between, kind of like the 5-minute terrines. A refrigerator is great. And a shower partition instead of a curtain makes a lot of difference. If there is a grill, that is a real highlight!
And then there is the most important discipline upon arrival: finding Wi-Fi.
Mika already scans the lobby for a Wi-Fi code as soon as he enters - and usually has it typed in before you can even say
