The hostel is rather modest, lots of mosquitoes, sometimes noisy at night, but it also has its advantages. Free laundry service and a nice place to relax.
Today we rented bikes and visited a national park. Here we saw a turtle in the wild for the first time. Admission to the national parks is free. Usually, only a registration is required, but today we were also photographed so we wouldn't get lost.😅 At the end of the trail, there was a wall called the Wall of Tears. From 1945-1959, there was a prison here for political prisoners. We climbed the steep path to a beautiful viewpoint and spent some time enjoying the view.
On the way back, we also visited the tunnel formed by lava that extends to the sea. By this time, we were so sweaty that we took a break at one of these magnificent beaches until late afternoon.
