Minoan Palace of Malia

The sky is somewhat overcast, and the sun is still waiting to make an appearance. The day begins again comfortably with coffee and a great breakfast. We decide to take advantage of the sun that has just come out and walk to the archaeological sites in Malia. About 400 meters and we reach the entrance... so really not far. The entrance fee now outside of the season is 3.00 Euros, and for people with a disability card over 67%, they have free admission... actually also for the accompanying person... but that was probably not well known, and to be honest... 3.00 Euros is really reasonable.

The archaeological site is quite nice... perhaps also because we compared it a bit with ancient Corinth and we aren’t really that 'faithful to antiquity.' It’s worth visiting when you're nearby. We stroll around there and spend a long time there alone... you can really tell that the season is currently on hold.

We walk back to the vehicle, and on the way, a Pössel overtakes us... and what can we say? We’ve already met them in Gythio and in Georgioupolis... yes, Crete is that small. You run into the same people at least twice....

Wow, now around noon a cold wind blows over the cliffs, and we are glad that we didn’t park right at the front. We sit on the wind-sheltered side of the vehicle... but it gets cold, and we go inside... to rest after such a stressful day.

Freddy and I are actually dozing off... oh yes, a little nap... after all, one deserves it...
