I hadn't booked an organized tour, so I disembarked early to do something on my own. I first went to the tourist office and asked about whale or dolphin watching excursions. Since there was a really strong wind blowing, I was advised against these tours. Equipped with a map of the city and the surrounding area, I went to a small excursion provider where I booked a trip to a sea lion observation station. The driver and I set off immediately. When we arrived at our destination, we were practically alone with the sea lions, although we were separated from them by a few meters of altitude. I took plenty of time to look at the flora and fauna. As we were back in the car, a large tour bus arrived and disgorged dozens of my ship companions.

Afterwards I looked around the city, tried in vain to find something like a shopping market and then returned to the ship to escape the wind.
