Kalbarri Kalbarri Kalbarri
The locals refer to the village or whatever you call it in Australia as peaceful. Exactly that is our opinion.
A small village on the edge of the world like the edge of a table. The half-empty glass slightly set back from the edge of the table forms the campsite. The cutlery and plates are the small shops which are perfectly sufficient. The plate stands are the trees that provide really good shade over our heads.
From the half-empty glass to the edge of the table and thus to the river which flows directly into the Indian Ocean, it offers a perfect shallow water spot with a white-red-yellow sandy beach and pelicans
For us definitely a place where you could simply spend your standard vacation.
The kiter's heart and the sense of getting out of bed and getting on the board are really high here. We really like it!
In the morning, easy and light, a boat trip somewhere on a deserted beach section along the river, there was a balanced breakfast.
After returning, a little kite session and then back to the campsite in 15 seconds. Brilliant and all on foot. From the bed to the board!
During these 15 seconds we noticed a Mercedes camper. It was meticulously maintained and when we looked at the license plate, we were almost breathless...
It's not that you seldom meet Swiss and Germans in Australia... there are masses of them. However, among all of them, there are still some who top everything.
There is the camper with a license plate from Ticino, Switzerland. Of course, joke come out, you're surrounded and there they came too. An older, fit retired couple who are also traveling around the world.
Almost like us, a bit clueless but one league higher. They have their own vehicle. Man, we had good conversations and received great impressions.
"You did everything right" they said to us and we said to them. That was then once again a sign that everything is doable. It's just a matter of time and that's also true for traveling.
Cheers, to Kalbarri
