Tag 198 - Hang Mua Viewpoint

Hey everyone!

We had a really great day today!

We woke up around 8:30 am, had breakfast, and walked around the market stalls. As you may have noticed, we often need a sweater here and each of us only has one. It gets a bit gross after a while :)

So we bought another one and a new T-shirt for Kevin :).

Afterwards, we packed all the dirty laundry, took it to a laundry service, and started our trip to the 'Hang Mua Viewpoint'. It was only a 15-minute motorbike ride away and the journey was really beautiful!

When we arrived, there were 400 steps leading up to the viewpoint. It's not really much, but it was quite a climb :).

We flew the drone, took some photos, and enjoyed the breathtaking view. The climb was definitely worth it!

When we came back down, we found a heart-shaped bridge. Of course, we had to fly the drone again! While flying, we suddenly felt a few raindrops and decided to bring it back. As soon as we put away the drone, it started pouring rain! Luckily, we found a shelter where we could have a drink and then it really started raining heavily! Everyone passing by was completely soaked!

At some point, we wanted to leave, but we had so much electronics (cameras, phones, drone) with us that we didn't want to expose them to the rain. A man passed by with rain ponchos. I ran after him and on my second step, I stepped into a really, really deep puddle! Well, my feet were already swimming in my shoes. When I reached the man with the ponchos, he told me that they weren't for sale - they were for his tour group. But he showed me where I could get some. When I reached the shop, I was already soaked to my underwear and bought the poncho more for my backpack than for myself :).

Back with Kevin, we put on our rain protection and walked back to our motorbikes.

Kevin's helmet was even wet inside!

The ride back was really funny! It went from one puddle to the next, and we accidentally splashed so many pedestrians! It's mean, I know - but from our perspective, it was really funny!

When we got back to the hotel, we realized that we had forgotten something: our laundry....

So we went back again (2 minutes :)). The laundry wasn't ready yet, so we said we would come back later and sat down in one of the cute bars here. We had a beer and a glass of wine together with a ham/cheese toast to share :).

After that, I finally took care of my nails... In the meantime, Kevin picked up the laundry and checked the pictures and videos from the drone. We are once again very satisfied!

So, now we're getting ready for dinner (it's already 9:30 pm).

Since we wanted to go on a river cruise and the rain quickly ruined our plan, we are now considering staying here for another night. But we'll decide that spontaneously tomorrow.
