Hi guys
Today we started the day completely relaxed :). Somehow we are not so good at getting up early at the moment, but it's also very late every evening and relaxed days look different :).
Doesn't matter, we're on vacation :).
At 12 o'clock we checked out and started our trip to 'Paradise Cave' despite dark rain clouds. We had a 45-minute drive on the motorbike ahead of us and almost made it there without getting wet. We parked the bike, bought the tickets and walked up the mountain to the cave entrance for about 30 minutes.
We decided to go for the easy option: 1 kilometer of free access to the cave system. There were other options where you could go 7 kilometers into the system, but that required a guided tour. Since we're not really the tour type, we decided that the first option was enough to get an impression.
Admittedly, the cave was really impressive! Huge and beautiful! There was a church-like atmosphere, no one spoke and if they did, it was only a whisper. Once again, it really benefited us that we are here outside of the season. We saw very few other visitors and for brief moments we even thought we were alone in the huge cave complex. We walked the one kilometer, took photos and marveled at the mighty formations.
After about two hours we were outside again, had something to eat at the on-site restaurant and went in search of an ATM. One hour later (around 4:30 p.m.) we arrived at our hotel, paid our debts, grabbed our luggage and left right on time as the rain began. It was only a light rain, more of a drizzle... But it whipped on the skin! Luckily, we had decided on a short route due to the previous day's program (one hour drive, 44 kilometers). After one or two shopping stops and some hotel research, we found our place to stay for today at 6 p.m. We only paid CHF 12.- :)
Now we're sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and later we'll have a small dinner :)
Tomorrow we will continue south, but we don't know exactly how far yet - we'll decide spontaneously :)
Until tomorroooooooow ;)
