The (almost) southernmost point of New Zealand

Welcome to Invercargill. It took 3 hours from Te Anau to Invercargil. Along the westernmost road of the South Island. On the right, the view of Fjordland, on the left, the endless long meadows. It was snowing like crazy. In the meantime, we had so much snow on the road that we could only continue at walking speed, as the road clearing service in New Zealand is not as developed as in Germany.

But we were rewarded with sunshine and an incredibly beautiful coastline just south of Invercargill. Invercargill itself is not worth seeing. There are more gas stations than cars in this city. A pure working-class city.
