Another day in paradise!
Our day started with a dog walk and a few chores. We did the recycling, bought some food and visited La Fuente, the public water fountains where we can get spring-fed drinking...

I realise I’ve missed a day or two. That’s because there has not been much going on.
Yesterday, we decided to have a proper day out, up to Murcia to visit Ikea, to get a cot duvet cover, which we will use as any easy wash easily fit cover for Winnie’s dog bed. We then planned to have a walk round the centre “for a bit”, but it’s a bigger place than we realised, and we ended up coming home to Mojacar old town and then our normal dog beach. I think we’ve chilled out too much and normal life was just a bit, you know, busy.
Today’s only event of note is a hunt for at Campingaz 907 gas bottle, pictured for those that wouldn’t know a gas bottle from a love affair (it will make a bit more sense later). Campingaz is meant to be available all over Europe, but we’ve struggled to find a place to swap our bottle, and neither Google nor ChatGPT could advise a definite outlet, only able to provide general advice about hardware stores and garages, or pointing us to shops that sell only the little baby bottles.
We eventually found it in a general shop on the Playa, in the same block as the flat where my dad had stayed when he first returned to Spain after my mum died, and where Iane and I stayed the first time we came to Spain at the start of our time together. I would like to make this a touching tale of life coming full circle or something, but struggling to find any correlation between love and gas bottles.
We’re out for dinner tonight, for a curry and I cannot wait.
