March 28 - April 2

It's called "Nice" for a reason, it's an amazing beach city on the French Riviera, and somewhere I told myself I could totally retire here. Will was kind enough to let me stay with him for a few nights, and we had the best time ever. The week consisted of 20 cent baguettes, cheap wine, hungover kebabs at the beach, and lots of fun memories.

The turquoise Mediterranean along the never-ending beach made this city feel perfect, everywhere you looked there were people relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather here. If you went to this place and did not feel relaxed and at peace, I would call you crazy. Will and I also did not eat a single meal out the entire week, one of the more impressive feats during exchange.

Some of my favourite memories will be riding drunk Lime bikes along the beach to Old Nice and bar-hopping, while meeting some strange locals or other tourists. And the next morning, the perfect hangover cure would be getting in the sun and enjoying the perfect weather.

Nice just has that charm you crave in life. I came there for a few nights and left feeling like I had lived there. Maybe it was the company, maybe it was the pace of life, or maybe it was just what the south of France does to people. Whatever it was, Nice didn't feel like a stop on a trip. It felt like a glimpse of a future life that I might like to live one day.
