I packed my backpack until the last minute and thought about which clothes to bring, how much space I have and what unfortunately has to stay at home. My problem was not the weight but the space in the backpack. I watched various videos on YouTube and then rolled up my clothes together. On the one hand, this saves a lot of space, and on the other hand, everything doesn't fall apart every time I open the backpack.
Since I will experience both extreme winter and high summer on my trip, I decided early on to initially only pack the winter clothes. I will send the other part to friends I will visit along the way and then repack and send the winter clothes back home.
I have a pair of sneakers, boots, and boots, as well as a pair of swim shoes. I packed my ski jacket as a jacket. Otherwise, I have limited myself to the following: 2 jeans, 1 pajamas, 1 sweatpants, 1 leggings, 3 thick sweaters and 3 thin ones, 2 t-shirts, 2 tops, 1 bikini, 2 tights. I have underwear for about 1 week. A thick scarf, hat, and gloves should not be missing.
In hostels, you usually only get towels for an extra charge, which is why I packed my own: a shower towel, one for my hair, and one for hand washing. For hygiene reasons, I bought a sleeping bag liner so that the bedding is not directly on my skin.
In my carry-on luggage, I only packed all the important travel documents and my laptop, so that my backpack weighs 15kg in the end.
