Arrival in Bangkok

So, after what felt like an eternity, we landed in Bangkok with a half-hour delay. The transfer to the Royal Orchid Sheraton ***** Hotel took another 70 minutes. The view from the 25th floor is amazing, a great view of Bangkok and the Chao Praya River.

Check-in went smoothly, but since we decided at the last minute, almost spontaneously, to take a boat tour on the Chao Praya River, we only had about 30 minutes to change and freshen up in the room.

After that, we spent two hours on the party boat with a buffet (my goodness, the food here is spicy, and we love spicy, but this is really hardcore). 🔥

It's strange to drive past the temples while a Thai woman sings 'Country Roads' loudly and off-key, and half the boat dances along. Haha. 😂 An experience of a special kind.

Tomorrow we have a classic Bangkok tour on the program, with a visit to the Royal Palace, etc. Wake up at 6 o'clock. Welcome to vacation! 😃

After that, we finally go aboard the AIDAbella! 🚢
