December 10-11, 2021: Blanes
F. Blanes was actually planned as a short refueling and emptying stop before the big city of Barcelona. The campsite was also excellent and the weather surprisingly good. It had been predicted to rain for 10 hours from noon, so we were already preparing for a cozy day in the van, but somehow the rain never came. We even managed to dry our laundry outside in the fresh air. The next morning, I wanted to quickly refill our water tank and then continue on to Barcelona. Unfortunately, the car was slightly tilted while refilling, so I misjudged the water level. When the water then sprayed out of the hose for the air pump, the shock was great. I managed to turn off the faucet just in time, so only 1 to 2 liters ended up on the ground. But drying that up is an incredible effort. So for the next 3-4 hours, I crawled under our bed and used a towel, hairdryer, and space heater to dry everything. Fortunately, it didn't leak anymore, so we still had some time for the beach. Barcelona, here we come...
