Now I'm not an anxious person at all. If someone wants to attack me to rape me and rob me of my innocence... go ahead😂😈.
The fact seems to be that even people from my neighborhood have had their entire mobile homes stolen - even repeatedly🙈. Others - especially in France and Spain - have had their mobile homes broken into and quickly robbed while they were sleeping😴.
Now I ask myself... there seems to be no 100% security. My bazooka in the basement doesn't help me because of the limited payload😂.
Even though I'm a passionate animal lover - having a dog as a deterrent doesn't appeal to me for my motorhome🙃... no matter how much it smells like Chanel. Period.
On one of my first test drives with my new Paula 2.0, I noticed something - I was only in Germany, but I could also apply this experience FOR MYSELF abroad:
I was on the road. As planned, without a fixed route - the journey was the goal! It was Good Friday. I drove through Bad Harzburg - a great lively town with many interesting things that appealed to me as a tourist. Wow. A sign pointing to a motorhome parking lot! I turned on my blinker and went in. And it was really big! Yet still bursting at the seams...
What can I say... I kept going and somehow it was getting late and I was tired and it was still almost 2 hours to Heide Park - I got off the highway at a rest area - my tractor software tells me the GPS location is A2 near Rhörse. The parking lot was somehow no better or worse than some motorhome pitches where you have to pay 10 euros or more without any service! I slept really well and always had the reassuring feeling that I was right in the middle of things and that it was probably safer than a quiet, secluded, official parking space. Mind you: this rest area was considered quieter due to its spaciousness - highway noise was mostly in the background - and I had a good night's sleep😂🙈!
I will test this out.
So far, my first planned destination was an official motorhome parking lot. However, these are now overcrowded due to the camping hype, so I will pay serious attention to rest areas and truck stops! Of course, I am usually isolated here... but I can also meet nice people during the day on my journey. And then there's also the option of a campsite, if there's anything available for free😈
