My Amusement Park Special😈
Ok. I have already left 60 behind for some time. And then into an amusement park? YES😂😈!!!
In recent years, I have been to Europa-Park, Phantasialand, and Eifelpark Resort several times - always that tingling feeling when you catapult yourself beyond your limits😂👍 Admittedly: I defined my limit in Europa-Park on the "Silver Star" - with a height of 73 meters, a top speed of up to 130 km/h, and enormous centrifugal forces of up to 4 g, my limit was set🙈 (I had my eyes closed most of the time and was relieved when I got off🤢).
Now I was curious which of the "Big 7" would push me to my physical limits in Heidepark? So that I could try them all without time pressure (which is a bit tricky because of the sometimes long waiting times🙈), I booked Saturday & Sunday...
Into the fun! A multitude of people were already waiting at the entrance at 10 am on Easter Saturday. I think I've hit the jackpot: it felt like 99% without masks😈🙈!! Well, now the risk of catching Corona with a distance of 25cm in line was minimal😈🔫
In retrospect, the crowd dispersed in the spacious area, so I correct it to "sparsely visited"!
First to Colossus - Europe's largest wooden roller coaster... unfortunately closed: the woodworms were apparently faster😈😂 0 out of 5 nausea points!
Then to the Desert Race roller coaster, as long as the queue didn't get too long😅... I used the waiting time to write. Oh my goodness🤢😂...
3 out of 5 nausea points!
Continuing. My pants are still dry😂... walking around to the gigantic roller coaster with the promising name "Limit"! Awesome😂😂😂😂: An employee was standing in front of it and said they would open later because of a defect and technicians were already on their way😈
After half an hour, the gate opened: Not the Silver Star from Europa-Park - but a solid 4 out of 5 nausea points😂!
Then I tried my luck next door in "Transylvania". The "Gyro-Drop-Tower Scream" CLOSED😈😂 Due to a lack of spare parts (photo)🙈🔫
At least the tower is very photogenic and doesn't run away😅 0 out of 5 nausea points!
Next to it, people are screaming on the "Bobsleigh"... 850 meters long, 27 meters high. I don't want to gossip, but while I was waiting in line, my gaze fell more intensively on the track. It already looked a bit old...hopefully only the paint was missing🥴 I managed to keep my food down😅 3 out of 5 nausea points!
Continuing the tour to "Big Loop"!
Let's keep it short: See photos....closed due to technical problems😂😈🔫
0 out of 5 nausea points!
Off to the Pirate's Cove for the "Kraken"! The waiting time in line was estimated at 40 minutes - that promises fun. And you also get wet😈👍
So far the highlight of the day with 4.314 out of 5 nausea points😂👍 Again!!!!
On to "Flight of the Demons"😈
Supposedly also a highlight😅... let me tell you.
Great experience - but not a highlight😅 Fair 3.75 out of 5 nausea points👍
Interim conclusion after 3 hours in the park:
Heidepark is spacious, has attractions for a 1-day stay - you can save the 2nd day (which is absolutely necessary in Europa-Park in Rust). Many attractions were closed during my visit due to technical problems or a lack of spare parts. A short time or hours later, they were - at least partially - open again🤷🏻♂️
Now in the afternoon. From a distance, I see that the woodworms are taking a nap and Colossus is running again😈 So let's go there and correct the scorecard😂 What can I say: Impressive🤗 Just the architectural feat of building something of this size only out of wood🤓 Only 3 out of 5 nausea points...but the absolute winner of sympathy of the day 🏆!
A small conclusion.
Even though on the morning of Easter Saturday and Sunday, about 200 people were waiting for the opening - during the day, the park was really very sparsely visited...
If you take a closer look, you will notice: flags faded by sun and wind (e.g. Land of the Forgotten) that should have been renewed long ago. Dirty or defective streetlights, often just the paint is missing on the attractions, things that have needed a revision for a long time - the money seems to be missing here (because of Corona?) or those responsible seem to be blind to it...🤷🏻♂️
What a pity. There is often no second chance for a first impression🥴
