Santenay belongs to the Côte-d'Or department and is located at the southernmost tip of the Côte de Beaune - Beaune itself, world-famous for its Burgundy wines, is at the opposite end. In between, like a string of pearls, there are small villages in the vineyards that all bear the names of great wines (or vice versa): Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, Pommard or Savigny-lès-Beaune. Vines dominate the image of this unique landscape, which is best explored on foot or by bike. And above there is a wide sky with incredible towers of clouds, sometimes the sun dominates, sometimes it rains like cats and dogs. The sun currently has the upper hand for the most part.
