Sunday was Wine Tram day. After a hearty breakfast, we headed to the Franschhoek Wine Tram station around 11 am. After exchanging our vouchers, a shuttle took us to the second tram route at 'Groot Drakenstein'. From there, we enjoyed the Wine Tram ride with a glass of white wine towards Babylonstoren. At Simondium, we had to switch from the tram to a bus. After two more stops, we arrived at Babylonstoren, where we had a great wine tasting experience.
Around 1:30 pm, the shuttle picked us up again at Babylonstoren, and we took the bus and tram back to Groot Drakenstein, from where we were transported by bus to Boschendal. Here, we opted for a wine pairing. Helena and Liliane enjoyed a pairing with chocolate, while Philippe and I chose a pairing with dried meat. Time flew by, and around 4 pm, we made our way back to Franschhoek.
At the Railway Station Pub, we quenched our thirst with beer and coke before returning to Ashbourne House.
In the evening, we treated ourselves to a culinary delight at Protégé, located in the French Quarter.
