In Neum we found an apartment for 24€ per night, with its own kitchen, bathroom, and balcony.
The landlords, a Croatian couple, were very friendly, knew a little German, and invited us for a beer in their living room on the first evening. In the background, the Croatian version of Big Brother was running on a farm on TV. It was a very friendly reception, we got to see wedding photos of their sons and learned some facts about their lives.
We simply had to stay one more night to enjoy a relaxed breakfast on the balcony and use the kitchenette. Before M. was in the mood to move, I went looking for an ATM and a supermarket. I found an ATM right in front of a Konzum branch, but it was closed. (It was Sunday and we were used to everything being open even in Croatia, but apparently it was different in Bosnia and Herzegovina.)
When I passed by Konzum a second time (after trying to buy milk at a gas station), Marlies and Flo, whom we had met in Mostar, were suddenly there with their bicycles. :D The two of them had also tried to enter Konzum. They wanted to continue to Dubrovnik the same day and we made plans to maybe meet again there if we were also there.
(Shortly after we had separated from each other, I found a small grocery store that was open.)
