The weather here on the east coast is getting worse every day. It's raining and storming more and more often. The rainy season is approaching. I'm the only guest at Smile Bungalow on Bottle Beach. It feels strange and not really great. In the morning, they don't even open all the green shutters. It's time for me to leave. I'm also getting annoyed that the blanket is sticky and damp from sweating at night. The towel doesn't dry anymore and smells musty. And the trash bin also needs to be emptied urgently. For those who haven't traveled through Southeast Asia: The plumbing can't handle toilet paper. That's why you throw the used paper in a small bin next to the toilet. And after six days... Since my desire for the beach is still strong, I'll just hop to the next beach. I've always wanted to do that. Stay at a beach until I don't feel like it anymore and then move on to the next beach. A little dream. The sea is too rough for the longtail boat, so the friendly manager of the bungalow promises to take me to Thong Nai Pan Noi with the off-road vehicle. An old man is driving. With calmness and skill, he guides the vehicle over the sandy track, which quickly turns into a muddy path. Incredibly steep and full of deep furrows and potholes. My goodness. I'm amazed that the car can handle it and I'm excited about this little adventure. Backpacking is just great.
