We've all dropped out for varying amounts of time, we get out around 4am (it's 1am here) and we're quite awake. We buy an Omani SIM card and agree with the guy to bring us the car to the airport. He hands us some super car that we didn't order, saying that before we leave Muscat, he will exchange it for the one we wanted and enthusiastically shows what it can do.
It's seven in the morning and we're stuck on Qurum Beach. According to the guides, the most beautiful beach in Muscat. According to later experiences, I would highlight one thing - the most accessible beach in Muscat, otherwise nice... can a nice beach be in the middle of the city, which is bordered by a road? To the extent possible, yes. And so the children build protective walls against water in the sand after a night spent on the plane, while it is 5 in the morning in the homeland. At ten o'clock, Ota and I can't take it anymore and choose to escape to an air-conditioned shopping center, have something to eat in the food court and buy some basic groceries and move the hands on the clock so that it's already 2 p.m. and we can check in to the hostel. We're both completely exhausted and need to lie down. The children, on the other hand, shout at each other that they want to go to the beach again, they have absolutely no judgment, which is confirmed after getting into the car - all three of them froze. In the hostel, we run through the absolutely frozen reception, the children are completely skinned, we have to yell at them that before we bring the rest of the things from the car, they will be showered and in bed. Fortunately, it worked and we don't hesitate either.
I wake up at 20:30 local time and I can't see it for uninterrupted sleep from 15:00 until the morning. So we wake up the children and cook dinner. We think about what to do now, in the end the idea wins to go see the illuminated Sultan Qaboos Mosque and distract the children a bit. The night walk is worth it, there is no one there before midnight and the temperature is fine, although still above 26 degrees Celsius.
