07/11/2017 - Aterrizaje perfecto

El día comenzó como cualquier otro - puntualmente a las 07:00 horas nos despertamos y nos levantamos. Como las mochilas ya estaban casi empaquetadas, aprovechamos el tiempo para hacer una videollamada con la familia en Alemania. Al principio fue un poco extraño, pero rápidamente se convirtió en una conversación cotidiana. Fue agradable ver caras conocidas.

Fortalecidos por el desayuno, cargamos nuestras mochilas puntualmente a las 10:00 horas y partimos hacia el siguiente alojamiento.
Como solo podíamos llegar a los nuevos anfitriones a las 12:30 horas, tuvimos que hacer tiempo. Así que encontramos un pequeño rincón verde cerca de la floristería y nos tumbamos relajadamente en el césped. Canto de pájaros, cielo azul y aire fresco de Nueva Zelanda - ¿qué más se puede pedir?
Desafortunadamente, un pájaro decidió demostrar su puntería y ya estaba la caca en mi brazo. Después del primer susto, siguió una gran carcajada y, después de todo, se dice que trae buena suerte. ;)

Around 11:30 a.m., we then took the bus towards Auckland City. Riding with a backpack would be no problem in Germany, but in Auckland the buses are much narrower and we were quite a big obstacle for other passengers. However, the Kiwis remained calm. After all, they know the tourists with their big backpacks.
Upon arriving at the destination bus stop, we still had to take a train for one more station. The regional train was surprisingly modern and arrived precisely on time. From the Glen Innes station, our new neighborhood, it was only a few minutes to the new accommodation.
Once there, we actually arrived before the hostess. She had just come from work and nos welcomed warmly. Just as we were about to enter the accommodation, we could already hear another family member... Bruno, the 10-month-old Beagle, rushed towards us and almost knocked us over. We hadn't expected such a wild welcome. :)
After a short orientation, we settled into our new home. Then we focused on our new SIM cards. After we activated them successfully, we went to PAK'nSAVE, the New Zealand Aldi, and stocked up on groceries for the next few days.

Después de un delicioso tentempié, terminamos la noche en calma.
