El primer día en América.

Después de un emocionante y estresante viaje, finalmente hemos llegado todos a nuestras familias de acogida en el tercer día. Todos fueron recibidos con los brazos abiertos y nos cuidaron, permitiéndonos descansar y adaptarnos al cambio de horario…

Había diferentes actividades planeadas en cada familia de acogida, algunos iban al fútbol universitario, otros a la competencia de bandas de marcha, y yo les contaré sobre mi primer día.

Después de una deliciosa cena y una bienvenida muy amable de mi familia de acogida, me fui a dormir temprano ayer para estar en forma para el día de hoy.

Aproximadamente a las 9 de la mañana me desperté y fui a la mesa de desayuno. Todos podían tomar lo que quisieran y yo comí unas rebanadas de tostada y tomé un poco de zumo de manzana. Después del desayuno queríamos ir de compras al inicio del día, ya que mi estudiante de acogida había planeado que pudiera elegir todo lo que quisiera probar en la tienda, para que al final del día tuviera una gran selección y pudiera probar muchas cosas nuevas como diferentes dulces y bebidas.

Luego regresamos a casa y jugamos algunos videojuegos con el hermano pequeño de mi compañero de intercambio y él mismo, salimos a jugar un poco de baloncesto en su propio aro en el jardín delantero y comimos sándwiches juntos.

Pero esto no fue el final de un día realmente agradable, ya que mi familia de intercambio había planeado visitar algunas tiendas de Halloween y conseguir algunas decoraciones para Halloween. Fuimos a un enorme centro comercial con 3 grandes tiendas de decoraciones de Halloween que tenían una selección muy grande y variada de artículos que nunca había visto tan grande antes. Ya fueran disfraces diferentes, esqueletos u otros artículos de miedo, estas tiendas tenían todo lo que necesitas para una verdadera celebración de Halloween.

Al final del día tuvimos una buena cena con diferentes tipos de carne, batatas y verduras de nuestro propio jardín, vimos un poco de televisión y nos fuimos a dormir para estar en forma para el día siguiente.

The first day in America.

After a hard and nerve-wracking journey, we finally arrived at our host families on day 3. We were all welcomed with open arms that we could first rest and deal with the time change....

Different activities were planned for each host family, some going to collage football, others to the Marching Band Competition, and I'll tell you about my first day.

After a delicious dinner and a very friendly welcome from my host family, I went to bed early yesterday to be fit for today.

I woke up at about 9 a.m. and went to the breakfast table, everyone could have whatever they liked and I ate a few slices of toast and drank some apple juice. After breakfast we wanted to go shopping at the beginning of the day because my host student had planned that I could choose everything I wanted to try in the shop so that I had a big choice at the end of the day and could try many new things such as different sweets and drinks.

Afterwards we went back home and played some video games with my exchange student's little brother and himself, went outside to play some basketball at their own basketball hoop in the front yard and ate sandwiches together.

But this was not to be the end of a really nice day, because my exchange family had planned to visit some Halloween shops and get some decorations for Halloween. We went to a huge shopping mall with 3 very large Halloween decoration shops which had a very big and varied selection of items which I have never seen this big before, whether it was different costumes, skeletons or other scary items, these shops had everything you need for a real Halloween celebration.

At the end of the day we had a nice dinner with different kinds of meat, sweet potatoes and vegetables from our own garden, watched some TV and went to sleep to be fit for the next day.
