Climbing up and sliding down!!

Monday 23-02

So simple yet, something we love to do. Walking! However, it turns out to be quite a challenge in winter.

A steep climb up! Marit and Karlijn need some motivation to keep going. Climbing up in a thick layer of snow is quite heavy.

We climb and scramble through the forest and over the rocks, all the way up.
Nature in winter is beautiful!

Near the top is a hut, where we made a fire for sausages. Karlijn was up for two!
Marit showed the others where the birds fly and then sneakily gave a tap on the backside.🤪 shhh, now you know Marit's little joke.

After lunch, we climbed up two ladders to the highest point. From here, we go down. On the way, we pass several waterfalls, impressive!!

We also come across a special bird hide for the moms and dads. A drink that tastes good in this cold weather!

Sliding, sliding, sliding.
You bet. And within a short time, we were back down at the foot of the mountain. We slid through the woods on our bottoms all the way down!

Marit made friends with Mr. Blue along the way. Blueee, wait for me. Marit didn’t know the name Sander, which is why ‘blue’ was constantly being called! And of course sliding together with your friend!

At the bottom of the mountain is a huge waterfall! Be careful, it's super slippery here with all that frozen water.

For the last part, we walked back over the lake. What luck, the snowmobile picked us up. This saved us quite a walk.

Once again, a beautiful day full of adventure!
