Ice Fishing

Are we ready? Fish isn't really our thing, but hey, we're going for it!

With a sharp drill, we make a hole in the ice, we need to drill about 80cm to 1m deep before we break through the ice. Then we scoop all the ice out of the hole and fishing can begin!

It takes a while, and with little patience, Marit goes around with the scoop. She scoops the ice out of all the holes.

A fish is caught!
Yes, now we want this too; if others can do it, so can we.

Karlijn, with a little help, soon gets a bite! A small fish, but better one than none.

Between fishing, we bake a toast over the fire! Nice, we enjoy that.

Dad is the most patient among us, but he still can't catch a fish.

We have discussed with the others to prepare the fish. The fish were filleted, prepared, and the fire was lit. The fish were cooked, and everyone could taste a piece. This was really delicious!

Even though we are not fans of fish, we really enjoyed this activity!
