The Confucian school in the old town of Taierzhuang was built as a private school in the form of a Confucian temple and consisted of the Lingxing Gate, the Dacheng Gate, the Dacheng Hall with the statue of Confucius, and the two wing rooms at the side of the courtyard. These wing rooms now house an interesting exhibition with photos, notebooks, and book props from old school days, as well as reconstructed classrooms. Especially the book boxes were very interesting, as they perhaps provided good protection against damage, but together with the books, they still added quite a bit of weight.
