The drive to El Tanque is enjoyable. The weather is lovely, and I love winding roads. The accommodation is easy to find; I only pass the tiny side street once. My key is in the mailbox as promised, and my room is great. Even my own bathroom is integrated into the room, which is significantly more than expected.
In the communal kitchen, there are the advertised pots and pans that can be somewhat rightly called such, as well as the usual assortment of plates and cups, cutlery, and most notably a blunt selection of knives. Although I find it really hard to call the latter as such. As a consolation, there are actually no basic spices at all. Absolutely none. No salt, no pepper, no oil, nothing. Presumably, the owners want to lure you into their associated restaurant this way. Well, for today I'm done and will accept the unspoken offer.
