Borgo Priolo-Torrazzetta - Day 28
After spending the night in Carrara, with one last glance at the white rock faces of the Apuan Alps, we were actually heading towards Voghera.
Voghera is a small Italian town in the Po Valley located in the province of Pavia, Lombardy. The town is situated where the pre-Roman Ligurian site of Iria once stood. Remains from pre-Roman times have been preserved and we wanted to explore them further.
However, since the designated camper parking area can only be used by trucks now and there was no other nearby, we drove about 15 kilometers further to an 'Azienda Agrituristica'.
This parking spot outside of Borgo Priolo-Torrazzetta is located at a vineyard and a farm. We had a beautiful spot on a huge meadow there.
In hindsight, this choice was better as we could sit comfortably in the shade instead of walking through a town in 34°C heat.
We spent a very quiet night there and after a long sleep followed by breakfast, we set off again.
