And once again, a very beautiful surprise ....

.... that was presented to us on the way from Auckland to Whangarei: Hundertwasser lived for many years in New Zealand, and in his honor, a beautiful house with a museum was built in Whangarei.

Equally convincing was our accommodation in Whangarei Heads .... which we can call 'ours' for the next few days. The two hosts - Faith and Chris - go to great lengths to ensure we feel comfortable .... among other things, I get to use Faith's record collection and his upgraded stereo system from the 1970s. Garden, terrace, bar, grill, and so much more not to forget. Simply wonderful.

With this collection of highlights, one shouldn't forget the wonderful little beach in Whangarei Heads, just 300m away.

Finally: Our hosts announce to us that tonight we will hear Kiwi's - although probably not see them - as many have their territory nearby.
