Flexibility is everything ....

.... and we have shown it!

Since we were a bit 'sleepy', we couldn't get a ferry ride from the North Island to the South Island, at least not with a car or camper van.

Now good advice was expensive, but we made the best of it! Flight originally booked from Christchurch to Sydney was changed to Auckland-Sydney. Camper van drop-off was changed from Christchurch to Auckland.

The good thing about it: The - with 17 days - actually too short time for the North and South Islands can be spent exclusively on the North Island due to the long distances .... and for 2028 we have a travel destination: The South Island of New Zealand 😂

Time for a sunny interim conclusion: So far, in 61 travel days, we have had just two or three rainy days .... and many, many beautiful sunrises and sunsets ☀️
