Batu Ferringhi ....

.... is not the only but the most beautiful beach on the island of Penang.

By taking bus line 101, which runs every 15 minutes, you can reach it in about 50 minutes from downtown George Town. Both ticket and cash payments are possible. The long ride gave us the opportunity to 'get to know' other neighborhoods of George Town, especially those with countless high-rise buildings and malls.

Batu Ferringhi is not a dream beach, but it's more than okay as a change of pace for a city vacation. The beach sand is quite nice, and the water feels just as warm as the air at around 32°C. All in all, it's a pleasant change.
