Dunedin: cloudy in the morning at 10 degrees, sunny in the afternoon at 18 degrees
The day does not greet us in its friendliest manner again, but in the afternoon we enjoyed wonderful spring weather, much like you do in Switzerland. We drove from Port Chalmers along the Otago Harbour and Sawyers Bay to Dunedin, briefly admiring the city's sights. From there, we continued our journey to the Otago Peninsula, following the coast to Taiaroa, where our adventure in nature began. Taiaroa Head is known for its diverse wildlife, including the only mainland albatross colony in the world. Unfortunately, we did not see any albatrosses flying. Next, we embarked on our off-road adventure in a specially designed agro vehicle, experiencing the beauty of nature up close. We observed seabirds, New Zealand fur seals, and young penguins. A unique experience is sadly coming to an end. Tomorrow we will travel through Milford Sound fjords in New Zealand and then head to Australia.
