Morning wake-up at 6:30 AM, the sky is overcast, yet it’s already 27 degrees. As soon as we got off the ship, we were greeted by the Brazilian women with their hot rhythms. Salvador, a city of contrasts between rich and poor, with a minimum wage of 250 euros a month. It is said that people in Salvador prefer to celebrate festivals rather than work. Our excursion today takes us to the small fishing village of Praia do Forte. We visit the sea turtle rescue station, which has been protecting them from extinction for years. Swimming in the crystal-clear water was a refreshing break from the summer heat (about 33 degrees).
