Fourth day

Today is a rest day. After a Spartan breakfast at the youth hostel… the staff and ambiance are really nice… we visited the Emerald Coast and were amazed by the beaches and the coastline.

In Cancale, we admired the oysters, but didn't slurp them.

We spent the rest of the day at a country house near Cancale, a large old stone building with hydrangeas, roses, and a park-like garden. The Hostellerie La Motte Jean has been run by a young, very friendly couple since April of this year. He is a chef, and his menu is top-notch. We are absolutely enchanted by the food and everything here.
We really highly recommend this hostel!
